Yup,
I thought I'd introduce y'all to the only thing that I consider, in broad perspective, a worthy descendant to the beautiful music of the past (80's and backwards), compared to today's disgustingly bad music (with some exceptions). At first, I was going to throw it up on the Youtube-thread, but then I realized, it deserves its own thread.
So, here, I'll give y'all some beautiful examples of Japanese-made music - and I'm not talking about classic music, the kind the geishas play, but modern pop music. And quite possibly, y'all will understand why I love it so much.
The first example of Japanese music is one of the most beautiful songs I know (Yeah, I know, I say that all the time. Guess I'm just easy to flirt with). It was the end music of the movie Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Every time I hear this song, I can't help but think about how happy and perky and stuff everything will be once we've defeated the New World Order. Anyway, the song is "Tooku Made", or "So far away", by Do As Infinity. Really great song, anyways. And the video itself ain't half-bad either.

Glad you liked it. I love it too; it's just so damn cheerful, it gives me a brighter perspective on life when I feel burdened with the Infowar. There's more where that came from in the future.
I totally love Youtube.

I've heard people say, and I agree, that music isn't as positive as it used to be. Music had traditionally had a positive feel to it. Even, or especially, during dark times. These days it's either bleak, bland or boring, and rarely has a spirited vibe to it.

Yup. Just look at Marilyn Manson for example. It's the darkest, most gritty kind of music I've ever seen. And Cypress Hill - a rap band that sings about doing drugs - while they're high. It's a weird business, modern music. Thankfully, there is Japan to save our music industry. And we still have the classics. Those music giant losers can't take that from us, either.

Well, t'day I thought I'd throw up another one. I might have posted it on the YouTube-thread, but I don't think so. Either way, it's worth repeating in that case. It's called "Get Wild", and played by the Japanese (naturally) band TM Network. It was also the end theme for the 80's anime series City Hunter, and as always, it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
So, two things to think about when you watch it. First, ignore the cheesy 80's scene outfits. (Though I must admit, I'd want one of those suits. I wish I lived in Japan.) 2nd, the sound's a bit muffled. There's a slew of videos of this song on YouTube, but I think this version is one of the nicest, despite the muffled sound. Anyways, here's the video:
Gawd, I miss the 80's...
Hey, by the way, Blue - do I have to worry about posting YouTube-videos on the Forum, I mean with disk space and all that? 'Cause I realized we've got quite a collection on the forum now, and it must be quite a weight on the servers...

Nice. We had spirited music too in the 80s.
I liked the band in the "Kill Bill" movie, the first one. I was surprised they were so good!

Haven't seen it but I think I know which one you're talking about - they're playing a Spanish song, aren't they? If it's that one, I know - it was a cover of a MExican song called La Malagena Selarosa, which was written to the movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Really good song either way.
But I prefer 80's music, yup, and especially so Japanese one. God, I wished I'd been 21 in 1986 instead of today.

Heh, yeah, I guess, but still, I wonder if I wouldn't rather have gone through this crap as a fourty (fifty? My maths suck) year old dude than a twenty year old, especially if I got the chance to grow up with Miami Vice.
Hope you enjoy it. I find it's a cheery song, and excellent when I'm feeling down.

A girl band called Tommy February? Simple pop rock, nice. It might work for a music project I've been assembling.

I'm glad you can use it. It's a really nice song, despite the odd choice of name for the band.
And lately, I've begun to realize that great songs make for great soundtracks to anti-NWO videos on for example Youtube - and that's a useful tool for fighting them as well and waking people up. Just a thought.

Yeah. Though I have to admit, I've kinda lost my rebellious spirit lately. I guess we have to forget the general public and stop aching for their approaval. It'll be hard without them, especially if the media turns them against us. But they'd need a LOT more convincing than we can offer them right now.

I agree. But you know what, I've taken a somewhat defensive stand on that. If all goes as it should with my life, I'll be working as an adventurer/marine archaeologist (yup, I know, a little unrealistic it sounds, but if it works out, it works out) in a few years. There's a positive side to that as well - diving for old wrecks means possibly finding precious metals - and if the world is a dictatorship I have no obligation to turn treasures of old in, to the government, which means it'll be mine, and useful in buying food and supplies where most people can only buy things with numbers on a chip in their brain.
But that's not the important thing. The important thing is that many of us will take a stand. We will not surrender our freedom. And my stance on this is; if the world's people want to eff up their lives by getting these people into power, that's their problem. But I will never ever submit to these bastards. As long as they don't try and control my life, then it's the people's own problems - I pity them, but they will have to deal with it themselves, because quite frankly, people today seem to have forgotten the heavy price that freedom carries. And if the New World Order succeeds, they will have to learn it again, or live on as mindless slaves.
Of course, if the "police" in this New World Order try and eff up my life, then we're going to be on a major collision course. And my train happen to be loaded with TNT. And of course, if there is a resistance, I'll be lining up ready to help out in any way I can without joining anything.
My point is; if the people ignore the threat now, then they WILL have to deal with it in due time, and it will only grow as they ignore it. And if we can't get them to see it now, if they laugh at us and ridicule us as humans usually do, then why should we help them later? We will, of course, but we have no obligation to do so. It sounds cruel, but humanity need to learn from this New World Order, whether it comes into power or not. We need to learn that we cannot go on as we have the last thousands of years. We need to change.

I agree with you completely. Good luck with that career idea but the way, it sounds exciting!
Right now everything's sort of at a standstill. Well, not everything. But here at least it seems that way. I guess we have to look after ourselves and plan for the future, take things one step at a time. We know we can't reply upon the intelligence, wisdom or understanding of the common folk, so we will have to be innovative or resourceful. But right now it's hard to say how things will turn out. But it is happening, gradually I suppose; more rules and red tape, more Human rights being taken away, more security issues, the commercial world harder on its employees and potential employees, everything gradually harder and more complicated all the time. I have a feeling that we need to secure good careers for ourselves before too long, because I think the global economy is going to get worse.

Yeah. Thatäs another reason I'd like to work as a "treasure hunter" if you will, or marine archaeologist; you get paid when you find stuff you can sell, to put it bluntly. In other words, you don't have to rely on others in order to get paid, because I think there will always be a buyer for antiquities. And of course, Spanish gold dubloons aren't exactly worthless either.
Though I must admit, I've played around with the thought of becoming a famous adventurer, sort of like Mike Horn or all our hated and scumbag-like David Amschel Rothschild (though he's evil and I'm way good, heh). You know, so that everybody know and respect me...then, when they do, go out on TV, and tell them, "God damn it people, wake up, you've effed up your country!" Or even warn them straight out for the New World Order.
But damn, do I get ahead of myself here.
For now, though, I'm planning to enjoy life as far as I can. When the time comes, I also plan to fight to defend it. And as always, any police officer or military murderer who plans to bust my house and drag me away to a camp, my answer will be this: "They try, they die..." Sounds cold, as always, but the reality is, we probably won't have a chance to moralize when the New World Order get into power. It will be us, or them.

Well, good luck with whatever you decide to do. Aventuring costs a lot of money though.
I know I'd hate to be in a cell. I'd rather run and risk getting killed, or seriously enjur them rather than let myself be taken away. Unless of course I figured I could get released before too long. But if it was about grabbing up people to take them to death camps, I figure risking getting killed quickly is better than a slow and miserable deatj. Man are we depressing or what? Maybe things can get worked out on a political level before it has to come to that.

I hope they do work out politically. But if they don't, we'll have to make do until things start to look up. Maybe humanity will come out the better from all of this, but until then, I'm prepared to fight for my freedom. And take anybody who tries to take it away, with me when I go boom.
....err....not that I'm planning to become a suicide bomber or anything. That just sounded wrong. What I meant was, any military or police goon that is going go try and take our liberty away has better be prepared to kick the bucket.
Now, enough with these depressing discussions. Here's the intro to the anime Beck. The song, Hit in the USA, is performed by the band Beat Crusaders. Good song, really, and it almost got me up and dancing.
